Infant dies after inhaling white phosphorus

RAMALLAH, Jan 25 (KUNA) — A six-month old Palestinian infant died on Sunday after Israeli forces shelled Gaza with white phosphorus mortar bombs.
Nansi passed out after medical rescuers failed in saving her. The infant suffered from serious complications as she was not able to breathe, medical sources reported. Israel has shelled Gaza with nationally-banned white phosphorus bombs during its 23-day war, whereas the death toll reached 1,335 and more than 5,000 were injured.(end) nq.aia KUNA 251647 Jan 09NNNN
