Friends,

Sorry all – pressed “reply all” and sent co-ordinators email for Edith and the rest of our country co-ordinators to general lists. While writing to these lists though, all of us on the land team in Cyprus want to send huge “thank you”s to everyone on the gazafriends and media lists. You’ve all been brilliant – this voyage, and others, could never have happened without the international network that has built up around Free Gaza. Most of the coverage of the detention of the 21 was nuanced and contextualised this voyage against the back-drop of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the recent Red Cross and Amnesty reports. By tomorrow everyone bar two (whose deportation should happen within the next 2-3 days) will be home. They texted on their way to the airport to send their thanks to everyone who has supported them over the past days.
